About OwneDeals

OwneDeals is an independent online marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned Tesla vehicles in the United States. We aggregate dealer inventory feeds, accept private-seller listings, decode Autopilot hardware versions from the VIN, and let buyers message sellers directly. We are not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.

Who runs OwneDeals

OwneDeals is operated by PegaSky LLC, a U.S.-registered limited liability company. The site was founded in 2024 by a Tesla owner who spent too many evenings refreshing the official Tesla used-inventory page trying to catch deals before they were gone. What started as a personal price-tracking tool became a full marketplace for the broader Tesla owner and shopper community. Editorial and product decisions are made by the OwneDeals team at PegaSky LLC. Day-to-day operations — listing moderation, data quality, customer support, and the engineering roadmap — are handled in-house.

What we publish

• Vehicle listings. Used Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck listings — some submitted by private sellers, some sourced from licensed dealer feeds (notably the Auto.dev dealer-network feed) and the publicly available tesla.com/used inventory page. We are not a broker. We do not take possession of vehicles and we do not earn a commission on dealer sales.
• Free tools. Our Tesla VIN Decoder calls the U.S. NHTSA vPIC public API and runs a transparent rules engine to estimate Autopilot hardware (HW1 / HW2 / HW2.5 / HW3 / HW4) for any Tesla VIN. No sign-up required.
• Editorial guides. Original buyer- and seller-focused articles covering Autopilot hardware differences, used-Tesla pricing dynamics, and step-by-step purchase checklists. Every guide is written by the OwneDeals editorial team, dated, and reviewed before publication.

Editorial policy

Listings are sourced, not invented. Dealer inventory comes from licensed feeds; private listings are verified at submission time (VIN check via NHTSA vPIC; console-photo verification for private sellers). Pricing, mileage, and availability can change at the source after we ingest a record, so we always link back to the authoritative source.

Deal scores and price predictions are informational only. The AI-powered "deal score" on each listing is a model-driven estimate (using comparable-listing data, mileage curves, and hardware-version weights). It is not a guarantee of value or condition and is not financial advice. Always inspect a vehicle in person and run an independent vehicle-history report before purchasing.

How OwneDeals makes money

OwneDeals is supported by two revenue streams: (1) display advertising served by Google AdSense — ad units are labeled "Advertisement" and only render after a visitor opts in through our cookie banner; and (2) optional promoted listings for private sellers, a flat fee that elevates a single listing's placement in search results. Promoted listings are labeled "Promoted" everywhere they appear. We do not take a commission on dealer or private sales, we do not resell your personal data, and we do not accept payment in exchange for favorable deal scores or guide coverage.
